Headquartered in Iowa, the Lauridsen Group (LGI) is a collection of six independent companies focused on manufacturing products that enhance health and nutrition. With over 100 years of history they now have more than 60 manufacturing and sales locations in 20 different countries.
In 2019, LGI began replacing MPLS network infrastructure with Meraki SD-WAN, but ultimately found the infrastructure mix to be untenable to manage.
By 2022 they were looking to offload the management headaches and inflated costs that resulted from juggling SD-WAN hardware devices across some sites, MPLS at others, and a lack of converged security or last mile management.
“
“We’re excited to be able to secure user access on company machines and filter network and security traffic all the time, not just when they’re inside of our office.“
Reid Kreimeyer, Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations
In 2022 LGI switched from self-managed SD-WAN and MPLS to Aryaka’s fully managed SD-WAN across all of its locations – significantly reducing cost and time management headaches associated with hardware, multiple vendors and last mile service providers.
In 2024, LGI was excited to adopt Unified SASE as a Service to replace its managed Checkpoint virtual firewall, seeing Aryaka’s Unified SASE as a natural evolution for their business. The key factors in their decision to go with Aryaka rather than another managed firewall/SASE provider came down to:
“We trust Aryaka for Unified SASE because of the customer service and support personnel – it’s been phenomenal. It’s a natural evolution to let Aryaka handle both network and security.”
