Introducing Aryaka Cyber Threat Research Lab (CTRL)

Cybersecurity threats are evolving at an unprecedented pace, putting organizations at constant risk. To stay ahead of these threats and provide unparalleled protection, Aryaka introduces the Cyber Threat Research Lab (CTRL).

Led by Aditya K. Sood (Ph.D.), Aryaka’s VP of Security Engineering and AI Strategy, Aryaka CTRL’s mission is simple yet powerful: to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats, enhance Aryaka’s Unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) as a Service platform to help businesses identify and mitigate risks proactively.

1. Staying Ahead of Evolving Threats

Cybercriminals are always innovating, using new Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to outsmart defenses. CTRL’s team will work diligently to research emerging threats and provide real-time intelligence and education.

A recent example of Aryaka CTRL’s work is its analysis of the SaltTyphoon campaign, which exposed risks associated with infrastructure dependencies outside an organization’s control. SaltTyphoon highlighted how attackers exploit vulnerabilities in widely used systems, underscoring the need for advanced threat research. Aryaka CTRL’s insights enable businesses to recognize and address such risks proactively.

2. Enhancing Aryaka’s Unified SASE as a Service Platform

Aryaka’s Unified SASE as a Service platform combines networking, security, and observability into a single, cloud-based solution. Aryaka CTRL strengthens this platform by integrating unique threat intelligence.

External attack surfaces are expanding in today’s digital ecosystem, where applications depend on public clouds, SaaS, and increasingly GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) providers. Cybercriminals exploit these external dependencies, making Zero Trust principles a necessity. Aryaka Unified SASE as a Service simplifies security operations while mitigating risks and reducing attack surfaces, ensuring businesses remain secure even in a distributed environment.

3. Proactively Mitigating Threats

Aryaka CTRL strengthens Unified SASE as a Service controls to mitigate threats proactively. As threats proliferate rapidly, network and security controls must be equally agile and help to reduce the attack surface.

As threats continue to evolve, Aryaka is committed to empowering organizations with holistic network and security solutions and threat mitigation. For example, download the recently published whitepaper ‘Disrupting the Attack Surface with Unified SASE as a Service by Deterring Malicious Communication’, highlights the type of intelligence that Aryaka CTRL can leverage to provide policy controls to protect its customers.

Aryaka Cyber Threat Research Lab represents a significant investment in research and development aimed at providing Aryaka Unified SASE as a Service customers with the latest intelligence, policies and controls to mitigate risk in today’s GenAI and multi-cloud world.
